The ACT Pharmacy Technician will work at Orrell Park Pharmacy, a family-run business for more than 30 years serving the local community of Orrell Park.

Qualifications required for the post:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 pharmacy technician
Responsibilities:
  • You will be under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and will carry out day-to-day activities connected with the preparation and supply of medicines.
  • You will provide advice to patients on the use of medicines as well as on general health and lifestyle matters.
  • Your overall responsibility will be to participate in the whole dispensing process.
  • The role will also involve establishing and developing long-term relationships with customers and healthcare professionals, ensuring to always deliver courteous and effective customer service to grow the business and achieve the overall business objectives.
  • You will be required to assist in the delivery of all commercial pharmacy services, both NHS and private services where appropriate, including blood pressure measurement and stop smoking services.
  • You will be required to complete administrative records and ensure that these records are adequately maintained.
  • You will effectively manage pharmaceutical stock and equipment, including the administration of receiving, storing, maintaining, and issuing.
  • You will be required to assist in the sale of medicines and other merchandise when required.
  • You will also need to maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of pharmacy issues for the purpose of continuing professional development and work as part of a team.
