This role can be based at any of our office locations: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York, Glasgow. ORR has adopted hybrid working and requires a minimum of two days per week or 40% remote work.
The Office of Rail and Road is the independent economic and safety regulator for Britain’s railways and a monitor of performance on England’s strategic road network. We are delivering a significant transformation programme to create an agile, enabling organisation. Corporate Operations leads on finance, HR, IT, security, estates & organisational changes.
As part of the Information, Facilities and Service Development team, you will support ORR’s strategic objectives by ensuring first‑class information services and effective information management, and maintaining a suitable property portfolio. The internal Projects team works with technical teams, service desk and external providers to deliver key projects.
Reporting to the Associate Director for Information Technology and Digital Services, the Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of multiple high profile complex projects, ensuring ORR has services and facilities that support and enable the organisation to do its job effectively. The role includes leading the delivery of the Technology Strategy through the Digital Strategy Delivery Group, which oversees Data, Information and AI strategies, and will also administer and chair this group. Occasional travel to sites other than your usual office location will be required for this role.
