This is a rare in-house strategy and M&A role with real deal exposure from day one. You will sit at the centre of an active acquisition programme, working directly with senior leadership across the full transaction lifecycle, not just one slice of it.
The business is a PE-backed platform with a track record of growth through acquisition. The mandate is expanding, and this hire has been created to bring dedicated strategic and commercial capability in-house. You will own the analytical engine behind deal evaluation and be the internal lead coordinating with external advisors when they are brought in.
This is not a support role. You will have a clear seat at the table, visibility with the leadership team, and genuine influence over investment decisions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own commercial due diligence across transactions, covering market dynamics, competitive landscape, operational performance, and strategic fit.
- Lead the development of business plans for acquisition targets, building the analytical case for growth, value creation, and operational priorities.
- Drive deal execution across multiple workstreams simultaneously, from initial assessment through to completion and integration planning.
- Act as the primary internal liaison with external advisors, coordinating diligence, challenging assumptions, and translating findings into recommendations for senior decision-makers.
- Shape strategic planning processes beyond M&A, contributing to wider value creation initiatives across the portfolio.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Approximately 4+ years in strategy consulting.
- Strong commercial and financial modelling skills, with the ability to build a credible investment case from first principles.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders across geographies, including senior leadership and external advisors.
- Someone who can operate with limited direction, bring structure to ambiguity, and communicate complex analysis clearly.
WHY THIS ROLE
- Seat at the table on live transactions from day one, not a support function working through layers of seniority.
- Broad mandate across strategy, commercial due diligence, and integration planning, giving real cross-functional depth.
- Direct exposure to PE-backed deal cadence and an actively growing platform, with clear career trajectory toward a senior strategy or M&A leadership role.
- Small, high-calibre team where your work is visible and your influence is real.
