Hours: 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (with occasional flexibility)
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Officer to provide firstāline HR support and guidance across the organisation. You will play a key role in implementing HR policies, supporting managers and staff, and ensuring compliance with employment law and regulatory standards (CQC and Ofsted).
As our HR Officer, you will:
- Support and lead on employee relations, including investigations and hearings.
- Champion staff wellbeing and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) initiatives.
- Support and manage HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, absence management, and training compliance.
- Maintain accurate HR data and ensure GDPR compliance.
- Contribute to strategic projects such as People Strategy, Wellbeing, and Disability Confident.
This is a varied role where you will make a real impact on our people and culture.
What weāre looking for:
- Minimum 2 yearsā experience at HR Advisor level.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, IT and problemāsolving skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Remain calm under pressure.
- Experience with HR systems (e.g., PeopleHR) and knowledge of the charity sector, safeguarding, EDI, and CQC/Ofsted regulations are desirable.
