Handyman in Brentwood, Essex

To support the site team with a range of basic maintenance, repair, and general labour tasks to ensure the smooth running of the refit project. Key Responsibilities * Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks across the site (e.g., fixing door handles, adjusting fixtures, patch repairs). * Assist trades where required, including basic prep work and general support. * Move materials, tools, and equipment safely around site. * Install or remove basic fittings (shelving, signage, temporary barriers, etc.). * Perform basic carpentry tasks such as cutting timber, fitting trims, or boarding. * Keep work areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free. * Set up and dismantle site equipment as directed. * Support with snagging tasks during and towards the end of the refit. * Follow all site health & safety protocols and use PPE correctly. Skills & Experience * Previous experience as a handyman or general labourer on construction or refit projects. * Basic skills in carpentry, painting, and general repairs. * Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to help where needed. Requirements * CSCS card * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication skills. * Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
