We are looking for an experienced Installation Engineer / Supervisor to join our Installation team in Sheffield / Manchester, delivering high-quality lift installations across regional sites.
The Role
As a key member of the installation team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of new lift systems, ensuring projects are completed to specification, on time, and ready for testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Review installation packs, specifications, and engineering drawings
- Survey and set out lift shafts prior to installation
- Manage delivery checks and report shortages
- Build strong working relationships with site teams and clients
- Install Orona’s hydraulic, traction and MRL lift systems to company and manufacturer standards
- Ensure lifts are installed to correct tolerances and ready for testing
- Deliver installations that meet PAS 32 standards with minimal defects
- Supervise and develop Installation Mates, Improvers or Apprentices
- Provide coaching, guidance and performance feedback
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental standards
- Enforce site safety rules and correct use of PPE
- Maintain company van, tools, and equipment
- Complete timesheets, job sheets and installation reports
- Communicate site progress, delays, and builder works to management
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years lift installation experience (Installation Engineer)
- Strong understanding of EN‑81 regulations
- Knowledge of lift wiring systems and electrical components
- Experience installing hydraulic, MRL and traction lifts
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent
- LEIA Units (Lift Technology) as appropriate to level
- SSSTS or equivalent (for Senior / Lead roles)
- CSCS certification or ability to obtain
- Full UK Driving Licence
