We are looking for a qualified engineer in Glasgow looking to become a Trainee Tester, who would like to progress and become NVQ4 qualified Testers. We will provide you with all necessary training to become an independent and qualified Tester. You will be enrolled for NVQ4 training and also Technical Training within the Company. This role is in the Modernisation department which covers replacements and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out pre-tests on installations and modernisations, compiling snag lists for engineers and trades as necessary.
- Onsite adjusting and testing of lifts to ensure adherence to Health and Safety legislation and lift regulations.
- Supporting completion of test sheets and supporting company and client documentation as required.
- Using technical experience, specifically an understanding of lift control systems and electrical knowledge.
- Supporting other departments as necessary.
Requirements
- NVQ 3 in Lift Engineering
- Experience of working with lifts
- Strong customer skills
- A clean UK driving licence
- Full driving licence
