We are seeking a Relief Night Shift Manager to join our Operations team, working alongside the Night Shift Manager to lead shift standards and performance. This offline position focuses on driving improvements through standardization and continuous enhancement in HSE, Quality, Performance, and Continuous Improvement. Why Ornua? Role Responsibilities: Drive a positive H&S culture, leading by example with zero tolerance for unsafe practices. Ensure manufacturing activities are carried out ‘Right First Time’. Maintain high hygiene standards and GMP culture. Highlight and resolve raw material and quality issues promptly, using Foods Connected for reporting. Ensure accuracy of production paperwork and proper closure of M3 MO’s, investigating discrepancies. Support shift performance across KPIs (HSE, Quality, OEE). Coordinate with Planning on production deviations or changes. Review team development through job grading, chats, and assessments. Promote Ornua Values & Behaviours and champion the VIP scheme. In manager’s absence, conduct employee relations activities and complete relevant documentation via People Doc, liaising with agencies as needed. Perform routine quality checks and shelf-life sampling as per MO documentation. Use regular communication channels (daily meetings, huddles) to facilitate feedback. Candidate Requirements: Food Hygiene Level 2 Leadership experience in food manufacturing, including staff recruitment, management, motivation, and training Knowledge of Health & Safety and Technical legislation, SOPs Proficient in spoken and written English Experience with MS Office and food manufacturing software Our interview process includes a one-stage onsite interview to learn about your skills, experiences, and give you a feel for Ornua’s environment.
