Ornua is actively seeking a tenacious, energetic and collaborative Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our finance department as we continue our growth trajectory.
About the Role
As Commercial Finance Business Partner you will influence senior commercial stakeholders to drive significant business performance improvement. You will provide financial insight on a timely basis, proactively partner stakeholders, and provide robust financial controls relating to the accounting of sales and margin. You will support both our Nantwich site (UK) and Avila site (Spain).

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Customer Pricing: Develop a deep understanding of the business and become a trusted partner, challenging pricing decisions to optimise margins. Provide timely, accurate and standardised information to facilitate discussions around customer tenders.
- Supporting NPD Process: Support development of a stage-gate process aligned to the business’ commercial strategies. Partner with NPD by providing effective commercial analysis and controls to support decision making.
- Sales Reporting: Present sales information with meaningful business commentary that provides real insight. Highlight exceptions and insist on improvement actions being followed through.
- Procurement Analysis: Set raw material standards. Analyse purchasing decisions and assess long or short positions. Account for margin and purchasing accurately. Manage an efficient month-end process and robust balance-sheet reconciliations. Continuously improve processes in a controlled and consistent way.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Manage the process for producing accurate volume and margin forecasts on a monthly and annual basis. Challenge assumptions, identify business risks and propose mitigating actions.
- Project Work: Develop and present business cases on an ad-hoc basis.
What You Bring To The Role
- CIMA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
- Broad and relevant experience in a commercial finance role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
- Good level of Spanish desirable but not essential.
- Ability to travel to our Spanish site.
