Ornua is actively seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance department as we continue our growth trajectory.
As our Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of financial records and compliance with internal and external policies and procedures. You will play a key role in the Company's cash management in the leadership of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as well as being responsible for the timely reporting of the monthly results and budgets to Group.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
- Leadership of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with a focus on growth and development.
- Line management of the Finance AAT trainee with a focus on growth and development.
- Preparation of annual statutory statements and corporation tax packs ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Preparing monthly financial accounts for review by the Finance Director and accounts team to support the explanation of variances to forecast.
- Leading the month end close process to deliver on time and accurate month end reporting of financial results to Group.
- Ensuring completeness and accuracy of accruals and prepayments within your control.
- Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations for the company are completed monthly and analysis is accurate and complete. Ensure discrepancies are rectified timely.
- Completing Inter-company reconciliations on a monthly basis ensuring reconciling items are rectified timely.
- Playing a key role in the budgeting and forecasting processes, including wages and salaries forecasting and preparation of P&L and balance sheet submissions to Group.
- Playing a key role in ensuring the finance team are audit ready at any time to ensure successful completion of financial audits.
- Being a key support for the wider finance team, advising on compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensuring robust overhead management support for both the HR & ICT functions.
- Deputising for the Financial Controller as required.
What You Bring To The Role:
- ACA / Qualified by Experience with extensive PQE.
- Experience within a financial accounting role.
- Strong reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Ability to analyse complex numerical data.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
- Experience operating as a business partner to non-finance functions.
