Manufacturing Services Operative in Leek

Overview

As a Manufacturing Services Operative and FLT Driver, you will support production by safely operating material handling equipment and delivering materials to manufacturing areas. You’ll work in Leek on a rotating shift pattern, contributing to a high‑volume, fast‑paced production environment. You’ll help maintain safety, GMP compliance, and accurate stock transactions while supporting teammates and enabling smooth operations. Responsibilities

• Operate and check FLTs for safe operation including battery status
• Provide materials to manufacturing areas promptly
• Record stock movements accurately
• Wear PPE at all times and follow safety protocols
• Move and store materials within safe weight limits
• Maintain FLT battery water levels
• Segregate packaging waste correctly
• Report issues affecting safety, quality or cost
• Maintain clean, compliant working area per GMP and company policies
• Support and motivate colleagues

Key requirements

• Knowledge of Warehouse Stock Systems and ability to navigate them independently
• Current FLT licence for Counter Balance and/or Reach (from a recognised body)
• Reliability, punctuality and consistency for team effectiveness
• Willingness to learn, share knowledge and develop
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Good verbal, written and numerical skills
