Shift: Fixed Nights Shift Monday to Friday 10pm-6am

Ornua is actively seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Operations department as we continue our growth trajectory. The role will help to deliver engineering and maintenance to plan and in a timely manner, to improve reliability, maximise plant availability and ensure plant safety compliance.
The Multi Skilled Engineer has responsibility to:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities on machinery and equipment in line with the scheduled plan, ensuring that equipment is fit for purpose on a shift/daily basis and that associated paperwork is updated and tracked, as per PPM schedules to aid an efficient Maintenance Plan.
- Report all deficiencies to the Engineering Manager or relevant department Manager for action.
- Complete all activities in line with the daily work plan.
- Work with the line supervisors and operatives to assist & train in key areas of setup in order to minimise production downtime from machinery problems.
- Attend breakdowns as necessary and repair in a safe and timely manner.
- Support the relevant departments to ensure that SOPs are in place and followed according to the procedure.
- Document and monitor all downtime and breakdowns.
- Complete all relevant service sheets, breakdown reports and breakdown analysis to ensure that accurate information is recorded on all engineering activity and issues.
- Provide relevant information at shift handover to monitor daily works completed.
- Carry out repairs to production machinery and equipment.
- Provide support to other Engineers during major breakdowns or where a number of operational engineering priorities exist.
- Complete risk assessments and method statements as and when required.
- Control activities of contractors onsite, ensuring that all permits to work and relevant documentation is completed, approved and executed in a safe manner and in line with company procedures.
- Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure that all spare parts are budgeted and accounted for, and that accurate records are maintained of parts used, striving to reduce contractor costs by completing work internally where possible.
- Raise purchase orders for all spare parts and works required onsite and maintain accurate records of parts ordered, detailing any periods of long lead time that may affect stock shortages.
- Follow all health and safety policies, practices and standards always, taking personal accountability for safe working practices.

- Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Engineering/Maintenance (or equivalent).
