Ornua is actively seeking a Relief Shift Manager to join our Operations Team as we continue our growth trajectory. The Relief Shift Manager will play a key role in running the Production Lines, ensuring production targets and efficiencies are achieved against planned production and line speeds.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
The Relief Shift Manager is responsible for:
- Fully managing the shift in the absence of the Shift Manager, attending meetings, and taking necessary actions.
- Completing daily shift reports.
- Conducting RTW and informal/Disciplinary hearings.
- Investigating work-related accidents.
- Leading improvements and enhancing line effectiveness through cross-functional collaboration and process development.
- Ensuring adherence to Quality, Hygiene, and Health & Safety policies, promoting near miss and good catch reporting.
- Accurately completing production paperwork.
- Monitoring and driving KPI performance related to quality, hygiene, and GMP.
- Monitoring production lines for faults, reporting issues, and capturing data on Redzone.
- Driving production output against targets.
- Performing routine quality checks and ensuring policies are followed.
- Raising and closing non-conformances promptly.
- Working with the Site Trainer to ensure staff induction and training, identifying training gaps.
- Conducting material area checks and investigations.
- Participating in daily material variance meetings.
- Leading daily huddles on lines.
- Managing labour/skills using shift rotas, including on-line coverage and breaks.
What You Bring To The Role:
- Food Hygiene Level 2, preferably Level 3.
- Leadership experience in food manufacturing.
- People management skills, including recruiting, motivating, and training staff.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, SOPs, and technical standards.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of MS Office and manufacturing software such as M3 and Redzone.
