Are you a motivated and passionate HSE Manager looking for the challenge of taking a mission driven organisation to its next level of success? Do you have experience leading Health and Safety in a fast paced, ambitious and driven organisation?
Ornua is actively seeking a HSE Manager to join our operations Department as we continue our growth trajectory. The HSE Manager will lead the development and implementation of the site’s Environment, Health & Safety deployment plan to deliver Health & Safety objectives in line with the Ornua Group Global Sustainability and Health & Safety Strategy and Targets.
You will report directly to our Operations Director, working alongside the Engineering Manager, Technical Manager, CI Lead and Operations Manager. In this role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the business to champion and advance our Health and Safety agenda.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
As our next HSE Manager, you will;
- Support the site’s functional heads and other relevant stakeholders to establish, implement and maintain EH&S programmes that will deliver EH&S objectives in line with the Ornua Group Global Sustainability and H&S Strategy and Targets.
- Lead the implementation of Ornua Group Global H&S Standards at the site, ensure these are communicated and consistently applied across the site.
- Develop and implement Environmental Management System and structures to manage sites Significant Environmental Aspects and impacts.
- Interpret Ornua Group Global H&S Standards and local applicable legislation and develop effective EH&S risk management programmes to ensure compliance with these requirements.
- Lead the investigation of work-related accidents, Environmental and H&S incidents and support the site’s functional heads to identify, establish, implement and maintain corrective and prevention risk management actions.
- Analyse EH&S lagging and leading KPIs and support the site’s functional heads to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide formal and informal EH&S performance updates to internal and external stakeholders as required.
What You Bring To the Role:
- Environmental Management Qualifications (IEMA/NEBOSH or Equivalent)
- Previous experience as site EH&S Lead or Manager
- EH&S Management System Development and Audit
- Passionate about H&S.
