The predicted salary is between 10 - 12 £ per hour.
We need someone to fill a part time position with a view to full time. With at least level 2 animal care diploma or equivalent, you must be happy and confident with all aspects of animal care, including reptiles and invertebrates as well as fish care. Some previous experience in retail and aquatic knowledge would be good but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning out enclosures and feeding animals
- Serving customers (giving advice and using the till and answering the shop phone)
- Stocking shelves and noting down any out of stock items
- General cleaning (dusting shelves and hoovering)
- Unpacking and pricing incoming orders
Being a small team we all get on well and are looking for someone with a good sense of humour who will also have a good work ethic and is reliable; therefore, own means of transport is desirable. Although the position is part time, there will be the option to do extra hours for things like holiday cover, and potentially moving to a full time position in the future.
