Welcome to Ormskirk Food & Drink Market, the original indoor market hall brought back to life as an immersive social space to eat, meet and play – all under one historic roof. Our market offers seven vendors serving up a variety of tasty street food to be enjoyed in the original market hall or up on the mezzanine dining space. In the bar area, we have an abundant drinks menu to enjoy 'til late and here you'll find our stage, showcasing live music throughout the weekend, plus live sports streaming across multiple screens. Whether it’s family hangouts, fun with friends, doggy days, celebrations or date nights, the Market is a space for everyone to eat, meet and play.

Ormskirk Market is looking to hire Food & Beverages Assistants to work side-by-side with our Venue Managers, Vendors and Bar Staff to help us deliver memorable experiences across all areas of the Market.
You will
This is a part-time position predominantly 4 days out of 7 including weekends. Working a minimum of 8 hours per week. Essential availability Thursdays to Sundays from 12pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help with serving food and drinks during service periods.
- Clean & maintain surfaces and re-stock cutlery & napkins as needed.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers and continually monitor how we can improve guest experience.
- Ensure drinks and food is of high quality at all times - Eg. drinks are garnished as described.
- Handle customer feedback and provide adequate solutions to customer complaints.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the venue, paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations - Eg. wet floor signs.
- Create a positive work environment for yourself and others around you.
- Positively promote sales within the department and maximize sales opportunities by upselling to customers, asking customers if they would like another drink.

- Knowledge and awareness of the Food and Beverage Operation.
