Ormiston Victory is an innovative, positive and ambitious academy which is seeking to recruit an appropriately experienced, enthusiastic and hard‑working individual to join our highly effective IT Support Team. We are seeking an individual to work with our IT Lead Technician in providing installation, maintenance, development and administrative support for the academy’s IT resources.
As our IT Technician you will be the first point of contact for IT support of incidents, standard requests and initial problem management within the academy and should be able to manage expectations when faced with unidentified faults. You will take pride in responding quickly and effectively to all support requirements and take an open approach to help everyone get the best out of our IT Systems. As an IT Technician in a multi‑academy trust, liaison with staff in similar roles across the Trust is to be expected. We are looking for a focused and conscientious individual, with a calm and patient approach who ideally:
- Has experience or appropriate qualification that shows a strong understanding of all the support and management applicable to the role as detailed in the job description.
- Has good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
- Is highly organized and can plan well – mitigating threats and maximizing opportunities.
- Has the ability to form positive relationships and work effectively with other key staff.
- Shows willingness to undertake training and attend meetings as necessary.
- Is NVQ level 3 in related area or equivalent or willing to undertake training.
