At Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy we are looking to recruit an Attendance Officer who will play a key role in promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the school. Working closely with pupils, families, and staff, the postholder will support children and families to remove barriers to attendance, ensuring pupils are safe, engaged, and able to access learning.
The Attendance Officer is responsible for:
- Monitoring and maintaining accurate attendance records
- Supporting families to improve pupil attendance
- Implementing early interventions where concerns arise
- Contributing to safeguarding processes
- Communicating attendance expectations clearly
- Ensuring compliance with attendance policies and procedures
