This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about Health & Social Care to join a successful and continually improving department with a talented team of specialists. There is potential for a TLR for a suitably qualified candidate who would like to develop to become subject lead or head of year.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Health & Social Care who has high expectations, strong classroom management skills and good subject knowledge. At OSCA, we strive to support staff to continually develop their skills to ensure enjoyment and rigour in the classroom.

Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy is located in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, and in very close proximity to the centre of Birmingham. It is a slightly larger than average, 11-16 co-educational academy with approximately 1,150 students. The academy’s reputation locally is excellent. OSCA was graded as a good academy, for the third time in October 2023.

The academy has been recognised with a myriad of awards over recent years, including the Investors In People Gold Award, The Quality In Careers Standard Gold Award, The Basic Skills Quality Mark and the Artsmark Gold Award.
