About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic cleaner to work 10 hours per week during term time plus 4 weeks during school holidays.
Working under the direction of the Senior Cleaner and Finance Director, the cleaner will be responsible for cleaning designated areas within the academy, individually or as part of a team, to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
Working Hours
10 hours per week during term time, plus 4 additional weeks during school holidays. The working hours will be 6.00am – 8.00am Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform normal cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and emptying litter bins.
- Provide outstanding service and maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Demonstrate awareness of health and safety responsibilities and participate in staff training.
Qualifications
Experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a school environment. No formal qualifications required.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
The successful appointment will be subject to suitability checks in accordance with KCSIE, including identity, Right to Work, qualifications, online searches, prohibition check, two references and an enhanced DBS check including Children’s Barred List.
