Overview
Vice Principal β Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. The role is a strategic leadership position reporting to the Principal, leading on Curriculum, Teaching and Learning to impact student achievement, teaching quality, and provision for students. Start date available January 2026 or May 2026. Interview dates are likely 14th and 15th October 2025. The post involves developing and delivering the Academy Development Plan related to Curriculum, Teaching and Learning and ensuring the Quality of Education provision across the Academy.
The post holder will drive our agenda to secure the best possible personal and academic experience for our students.
Responsibilities
- Lead on Curriculum, Teaching and Learning in collaboration with the Leadership Team to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum across all subject areas.
- Develop and deliver aims of the Academy Development Plan related to Curriculum, Teaching and Learning.
- Ensure the Quality of Education provision is highly effective, including oversight of teaching and learning practice and CPD programmes.
- Support and develop teaching and learning to raise attainment and improve student outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents and staff and contribute to a positive academy culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- Has excellent leadership and management skills, and the energy and drive to inspire and motivate others.
- Is an ambitious and innovative teacher, dedicated to student success, with a track record of raising attainment.
- Has demonstrable leadership and management experience at Senior Leadership Team level.
- Is an energetic and confident leader who can build strong relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Has excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Is a strong team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
