We are seeking a committed and resilient Education Welfare Officer to play a vital role in improving student attendance and engagement across secondary school. This highly impactful position focuses on working directly with students, families and external agencies to remove barriers to attendance and ensure every child can succeed.
Responsibilities
- Improve student attendance and engagement across the secondary school.
- Lead targeted interventions for persistently absent students.
- Conduct home visits and implement strategies that drive sustained improvement.
- Build trust with families and provide appropriate challenge where needed.
- Analyse data, manage caseloads and work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies.
- Support whole‑school culture of attendance and meet statutory responsibilities.
