About the Role
Teacher of Science – Start September 2026. Work with the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the Academy’s aspirations and aims are achieved. Deliver KS3 and KS4 science lessons, manage classroom teaching, and contribute to curriculum planning. All teachers undertake Personal Tutor responsibilities, managing the pastoral and academic welfare of their tutor group and serving as the first and most regular contact for students, parents/carers and subject staff.
Responsibilities
- Plan, teach, assess, and contribute to the KS3 and KS4 science curriculum.
- Lead and support small or large group studies.
- Manage the pastoral and academic welfare of students in the tutor group.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and senior staff to support student learning.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher status with knowledge of national curriculum KS3 and KS4 science.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding children and young people.
- Receptive to change, creative, reflective and analytical.
