At Ormiston Forge Academy we are seeking an enthusiastic and highly visible Pastoral Support Officer to promote positive behaviour, attendance and student wellbeing in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Support student attendance and punctuality.
- Provide first‑line pastoral care.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
- Assist with behaviour management and respond to incidents.
- Produce reports and contribute to safeguarding, interventions and wellbeing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of GCSE Grade A‑C (or equivalent) passes in Maths and English.
- First Aid qualification—or willingness to undertake first aid training as part of the role.
- Approachable, resilient and committed to high standards of behaviour and student welfare.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting (desirable).
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
