An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ormiston Denes Academy, to join our well established premises team.
We are seeking a self‑motivated, committed and reliable candidate, who is determined to support in maintaining high standards to ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment for students, to take on the role of Site Assistant.
The successful candidate will have some knowledge of health and safety guidelines, processes and procedures, be able to work on their own initiative and as part of the wider academy team and have some previous knowledge or experience of general maintenance and repairs.
This role is for 37 hours per week, 52 weeks of the year and encompasses a rotating shift pattern of opening (6.00am - 2.00pm) and closing (11.00am - 7.00pm) shifts, on a fortnightly basis.

About You
- Has a broad knowledge of DIY equipment and straightforward repairs.
- Has the physical capability to undertake manual tasks such as painting and decorating and moving items in deliveries.
- Is able to work in a fast paced environment and respond quickly and effectively to any urgent premises and maintenance issues.
- Has some IT knowledge and is able to read and record statutory information, such as meter readings and compliance tests.
- Is able to effectively communicate with students, staff and contractors.
- Keen to make a difference to the educational environment of our students.
