About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a TeachingAssistant to join our hard-working and supportive team on fixed-term basisuntil 31 August 2027. This position would suit an individual who is supportiveand is able to challenge students to achieve their full potential. The idealcandidate will demonstrate a positive 'can do' attitude and possess goodcommunication and interpersonal skills.

The working pattern for this role is Monday toThursday 8:00am - 4:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm.

The Academy

Ormiston Bushfield Academy is a good school,conveniently located close to the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire borders, and benefits from excellent road and rail links.

The Academy is continuing toexpand and due to its popularity and increasing student numbers, a new Β£6million wing was opened in September 2018. This extension is an addition to the Β£20.6 million state-of-the-art building that was completed September 2012, giving every student the opportunity tolearn in an exciting and inspiring environment at an Academy that has beenrecognised for its high standards of inclusion. The Academy has continued tobuild on the successes of the last few years and achieved strong results atGCSE & A-Level in the summer.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has a good standard of education to GCSE Level in English & Maths
  • Possesses good ICT skills
  • Is reliable, conscientious and committed to supporting students in all aspects of learning
  • Is enthusiastic with the ability to relate to young people
  • Understands the importance of this role and is a team player
  • Is calm, but with a good sense of humour.
