Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group support and tuition to students aged 11-16 to raise attainment across all subject areas.
- Collaborate as part of the SEND team to prepare lessons and support students during learning activities.
- Lead intervention programmes for vulnerable learners.
- Assist with physical needs of students where required.
- Adapt daily responsibilities to meet students' changing needs.
Qualifications:
- Well organised, reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic with proven track record working effectively with children/young people.
- Strong understanding of special education needs and experience in meeting pupils' needs.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience.
- Minimum GCSE Maths, English & Science A*-C (or equivalent).
- Ability to maintain supportive relationships and deal with challenging behaviours.
