About This Role
Tenbury High Ormiston Academy, a small rural 11–16 school, is seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic part‑time Maths teacher. The successful applicant will be a member of a three‑person Maths department and will teach Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
- Use the THOA Maths curriculum to help students understand patterns, relationships and real‑world applications.
- Support pupils’ learning through differentiated instruction, personalised feedback and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross‑curriculum activities and share best practice.
- Active participation in weekly CPD, local CPD opportunities, OAT networking and training.
- Maintain accurate lesson plans, mark attendance and submit progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
- Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4, preferably in an academy setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making Maths engaging and challenging.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and ability to work independently as part of a small department.
- For Early Career Teachers (ECTs) we provide full support through the Early Career Framework, a subject mentor (Head of Maths) and a professional mentor.
