Teacher of Humanities – Responsibilities
- Develop, plan and deliver effective and high quality learning experiences for all students.
- Be accountable for the learning and achievement of all students following courses they teach.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning of Humanities.
We are open to applications from candidates at any stage in their teaching career and from candidates interested in a permanent or fixed term contract. Options will be discussed with shortlisted candidates at interview.
About Our Department
The Humanities department at Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy is a welcoming, experienced team of dedicated teachers. Our departmental staff have excellent working relationships with each other and a history of supporting and working with ITT providers. We strive to ensure that all students have the knowledge and skills to access their chosen future destinations by offering a broad, well sequenced curriculum from KS3 to KS5. This is a supportive environment in which to work, and the team is always looking to enhance their skills, creativity and competencies in the teaching and learning of Humanities.
