About This Role

Ormiston Horizon Academy is seeking to appoint a Teacher of English to start September 2026. As a teacher at Ormiston Horizon Academy, you will work with the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the aspirations and aims of the Academy are achieved. All teachers will undertake Personal Tutor responsibilities and will receive training and support to ensure success in this area. The Personal Tutor is responsible for managing the pastoral and academic welfare of all members of the tutor group, being the first and regular contact for students, parents/carers and subject staff.

We are seeking a qualified Teacher with knowledge and understanding of national curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4. Excellent safeguarding knowledge of children and young people is essential. The successful candidate will be receptive to change, creative, reflective and analytical.
