About This Role
Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more. We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our highly dedicated SEND team. Under the direction of the SENCO and teaching staff, duties will include in‑class support for SEND pupils to give them every opportunity to make expected progress, preparing individualised and/or differentiating teaching resources for use in class. The role involves working 30 hours per week, term time plus 1 week (39 working weeks per year).

What We Are Looking For
We need an individual who has a flexible and enthusiastic approach to suit the varying and sometimes complex needs of our pupils and who would be prepared to undertake any associated tasks as required. You will be a confident communicator as you will need to liaise with parents and carers in a manner that supports our SEND pupils in their learning. We seek someone who can demonstrate commitment, energy, and drive to join our brilliant team and work to provide positive learning experiences for all our students.
To Succeed In This Post, You Will:
- Have experience of working within any of the primary Key Stages – EYFS/KS1/KS2.
- Have a broad and balanced education and be able to evidence, via original certificates, that you hold Level 2 (or above) qualifications in Maths and English.
- Be able to address the needs of our pupils by supporting them in overcoming their barriers to learning.
- Be able to demonstrate an awareness of emotional wellbeing and empathy for pupils, to understand their needs and respond accordingly.
- Be rigorous in maintaining high standards of behaviour and attitude and model this.
- Have excellent communication skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Use IT to a proficient standard.
- Work well in a team and independently.
