Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people. At Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, we are seeking a compassionate, resilient and highly motivated Pastoral Hub Support Mentor to join our Inclusion Team.
Working closely with colleagues across Inclusion, Attendance, SEND and Senior Leadership, you will provide targeted pastoral and behavioural support to students, helping them develop the confidence, self-regulation and personal skills needed to succeed both in and beyond the classroom. You will mentor a designated cohort of students, building positive and trusting relationships that enable them to overcome barriers, improve engagement and make sustained progress.
Through one-to-one mentoring, small-group interventions and daily pastoral support, you will help students develop positive behaviours, resilience and the routines required to access learning successfully. The role will involve monitoring and evaluating interventions, maintaining accurate records and working collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to ensure that support is coordinated and impactful. You will also contribute to academy priorities around attendance, personal development and inclusion, promoting high expectations and aspirations for every young person.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, organisational and IT skills, capable of building positive relationships with students, families and colleagues. Experience of working with young people in a pastoral, mentoring or educational setting, alongside an understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour support, would be advantageous.
