We are looking to recruit a friendly, energetic 1-1 Teaching Assistant for a period of maternity cover at Ormiston Venture Academy. The role involves attending to the educational, personal and social needs of pupils, supporting pupils with special needs, and incorporating those needs into their learning experience where possible. This may include toileting, hygiene, dressing assistance, and, if necessary, helping with feeding.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with their educational, personal and social development.
  • Assist pupils’ special education needs and incorporate them into classroom activities.
  • Provide assistance with toileting, hygiene, dressing and feeding where required.
  • Work 36 hours per week during the 39 weeks of the school year, including term time and staff development days.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
