This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher passionate about Health & Social Care to join a successful and continually improving department with a talented team of specialists. There is potential for a teacher leadership role (TLR) for a suitably qualified candidate who would like to develop to become subject lead or head of year.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Health & Social Care who has high expectations, strong classroom management skills and good subject knowledge. At OSCA, we strive to support staff to continually develop their skills to ensure enjoyment and rigour in the classroom.
Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy is located in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, a short distance from Birmingham. It is a slightly larger than average 11-16 co-educational academy with approximately 1,150 students, full and oversubscribed in every year group for the seventh consecutive year. The academy's reputation locally is excellent. OSCA was graded as a good academy for the third time in October 2023. The academy has been recognised with a variety of awards, including the Investors In People Gold Award, the Quality In Careers Standard Gold Award, the Basic Skills Quality Mark and the Artsmark Gold Award.
