About This Role

An exciting departmental leadership opportunity has arisen at Ormiston Denes Academy. We are seeking a passionate and experienced teacher or middle leader, who is ambitious and determined to make a difference to students as our Head of Geography and Travel & Tourism. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting and developing teaching of their specialism through ambitious curriculum and excellent pedagogy, so that students of all abilities enjoy their learning and are motivated to succeed.

You will be leading and managing the teachers within the department, offering support, mentoring and advice and guidance where needed. The role includes curriculum planning and development, overseeing the smooth day to day running of the department and ensuring that the teaching within the department is always at least good.
