We are seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a focus on STEM and numeracy, to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision, supported by direction from SENDCo, Deputy SENDCo, Curriculum Learning Deputy and teachers in line with OAT policies and guidance.

Responsibilities include planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups and short term for whole classes, monitoring learners and assessment, recording and reporting on attendance, achievement, behaviour, progress and development. In some cases the HLTA will provide strategic support to mainstream schools, focusing on inclusion and reintegration.

Education

This position is based in Kensington and Chelsea Education Centre, a Managed Intervention Centre that works in partnership with schools and external agencies to offer early behaviour intervention and support.

Short‑term placements: Managed intervention placements (up to five weeks), School support placements, Six‑day plus exclusions.

We serve secondary learners in Kensington & Chelsea, also primary provision, a managed intervention centre and outreach service.
