Ormiston Queensmill Academy is currently seeking an exceptional Class Teacher to join our highly skilled and dedicated team.
Responsibilities
As a EYFS/KS1 Class Teacher, you will plan and deliver high‑quality teaching grounded in strong EYFS pedagogy. Lead a small, supportive class team to deliver a bespoke, engaging, and highly differentiated curriculum tailored to the individual needs and interests of each pupil. You will be central to their learning journey – helping them build skills, confidence and independence.
Location: Sulivan Satellite provision in Parsons Green (opened September 2025 with 20 pupils enrolled this year and a further 20 starting in September 2026).
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching in EYFS settings
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and how to adapt for SEND learners
- A genuine passion for working with neurodiverse children and young people
- Understanding of autism‑specific strategies and emotional regulation practices
- Experience in a special school or specialist provision is advantageous; familiarity with SCERTS, TEACCH, Zones of Regulation or other autism‑specific approaches and ability to manage complex dysregulation with empathy and resilience will support you in this role
