We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Head of Year to support the vital work of our Heads of Year in managing student behaviour and maximising the achievement of individuals and groups. You will have a commitment to the inclusive and restorative ethos of Ormiston Endeavour Academy and to the academic achievement of all students.
The post is offered working 37 hours per week, 40 working weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks to include personal development days). Ormiston Endeavour Academy is an 11-16 secondary Academy situated in north‑east Ipswich. As an Academy which has seen significant growth over the last two academic years, we take pride in the high levels of support, care and challenge we offer all of our students. Endeavour students are warm, welcoming and willing to push themselves to succeed. Our staff are committed to providing a caring yet challenging environment in which young people can learn, develop and achieve to their full potential.

Purpose of the job:
You will be providing the highest standards of pastoral support that students may need in order to overcome any barriers that may be preventing them from achieving their true potential. You will be resilient with the ability to help students reflect on their behaviour, alongside excellent communication skills and good IT skills.
