Inclusion and Alternative Provision Coordinator

This position will be based at Ormiston Bushfield Academy and requires a September 2026 start. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation and co‑ordination of alternative provision across the Academy, supporting the Academy’s attendance function where required. The role is dynamic and will involve working with stakeholders at all levels, including external alternative provision providers and agencies, completing quality assurance visits to ensure suitability and effectiveness of placements.

The working pattern is Monday to Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am – 3:30 pm, during the school term plus one week, equating to 39 working weeks per year.

  • Has a high level of IT competence, including the use of Microsoft programmes such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Has excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Is positive, enthusiastic, and able to relate well to young people.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and can work as part of a team.
  • Has strong organisational skills and can manage their own workload.
  • Is flexible in their approach to the requirements of the post.
