Due to a promotion, we are seeking an energetic, dynamic and highly motivated Assistant Principal to lead and drive excellence in teaching and learning across the academy. This is a key strategic role focused on shaping and embedding a consistent, high-quality approach to pedagogy that ensures all students receive the very best education possible.
The successful candidate will translate current educational research and evidence-informed practice into impactful whole-school improvement. Working with the Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning, you will develop and deliver the academy’s Teaching and Learning strategy, and lead on the implementation of the agreed style of teaching to ensure consistency, clarity and high expectations in every classroom.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be a visible and proactive presence across the academy, helping to establish a culture where outstanding teaching and learning can thrive. You will contribute to the academy improvement plan, lead self-evaluation activities, and support the ongoing professional development of staff. You will also lead on instructional coaching and professional learning, empowering staff to refine their practice, and foster a collaborative culture with strong partnerships within the academy and across the wider trust.
The role includes a teaching commitment, and the successful candidate will model excellent classroom practice, securing strong progress and engagement for all students. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking leader to contribute to the continued success and improvement of the academy.
