About the Role

Ormiston Queensmill Academy is currently seeking an exceptional Class Teacher to join our highly skilled and dedicated team. The role is based at the Sulivan Satellite provision in Parsons Green. The provision opened in September 2025 with 20 pupils enrolled this year and a further 20 pupils starting in September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality EYFS/KS1 teaching grounded in strong EYFS pedagogy.
- Lead a small, supportive class team to deliver a bespoke, engaging, and highly differentiated curriculum tailored to the individual needs and interests of each pupil.
- Champion and support each pupil's learning journey — helping them build skills, confidence, and independence.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to identify and support SEND learners, ensuring inclusive practice and adjustments to the National Curriculum.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in EYFS settings
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and ability to adapt it for SEND learners
- A genuine passion for working with neurodiverse children and young people
- Understanding of autism‑specific strategies and emotional regulation practices
- Experience in a special school or specialist provision is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SCERTS, TEACCH, Zones of Regulation, or other autism‑specific approaches and ability to manage complex dysregulation with empathy and resilience will support you in this role.
