Overview

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic person to provide administrative support and a professional, efficient welcome and reception service to everyone who contacts and visits the school. The School Office can be a busy, fast-paced environment, and the successful candidate will be effective at multi-tasking and working under pressure, while also confident working independently and using initiative during quieter times. The role jointly encompasses reception duties and administrative support across the college. The role is based on working 15 hours per week over 2 days (Monday and Friday) during school term time and development days (39 working weeks per year).

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, professional reception and administrative support to staff, students, and visitors.
  • Manage front-desk duties, help maintain an orderly and welcoming environment, and handle enquiries across the school.
  • Support general administrative tasks and duties as part of a busyoffice team, working independently and using initiative as required.
  • Work 15 hours per week over two days (Monday and Friday) during term time and development days.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience in reception, administration, or a customer-facing role is desirable.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain professionalism in a busy environment.
  • Confident in using initiative and working independently when needed.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people (as part of the organisation’s policy framework).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and any other role-specific requirements for the post.
