At Ormiston Forge Academy we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and highly visible Pastoral Support Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, playing a key role in promoting positive behaviour, attendance, and student wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attendance and punctuality of students.
- Provide first‑line pastoral care and build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
- Support behaviour management and respond to incidents.
- Produce reports and contribute to safeguarding, interventions and wellbeing initiatives.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum GCSE Grade A to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake first aid training as part of the role.
- Approachable, resilient and committed to high standards of behaviour and student welfare.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Experience of working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting (desirable).
- The ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and teamwork.
- A passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
