Trading Assistant – FX Dealing Support
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the front office team on all trading support functions, acting as a key point of contact internally (for settlements and sales teams) and externally (clients). The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to multitask and enjoy a fast-paced, high performing environment. This role has opportunity to progress into a front office role in the future. .
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding:
- Managing the onboarding process, acting as intermediary between the internal compliance team and the client/prospect
- Post-onboarding:
- Point of contact for existing clients;
- Any portal related queries or issues
- Any day-to-day payment related queries
- Generally assisting with account management tasks for Strategists/Dealers
- Demos of RM and ABS platforms for prospects/clients
- Dealing support;
- Deal execution
- Point of contact for any pre/post-trade queries
- Managing the settlement process:
- Overseeing smooth settlement of trades (coordinating settlement of trades with earlier cut offs etc)
- Chasing settlements team/liaising with client, MT103s etc on any missing/delayed payments
- General:
- Assisting Dealers/Strategists with administrative tasks such as;
- Credit requests and ensuring all credit documentation is up to date
- Trade monitoring compliance requests
- Audit requests
- Compliance periodic reviews
- Proposing any changes to be made to current processes to bring efficiencies/find solutions
Skills and Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level and building strong and lasting relationships.
- Ability to organise and prioritise your own work and go above and beyond to help the business continuously improve.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to deliver under time pressure.
- High attention to detail.
