We are partnering with a leading global alternative investment manager seeking an exceptional Operations professional to join its London office. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing investment platform where Operations sits at the centre of the business, partnering closely with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Finance, Technology, Legal and Compliance teams to ensure the efficient management of complex investment strategies across global markets. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of asset classes and play a critical role in supporting the investment lifecycle, while contributing to strategic operational initiatives and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing.
  • Oversee corporate actions, income events and market notifications, ensuring accurate election and processing.
  • Perform daily trade support, settlement monitoring and exception management.
  • Investigate and resolve breaks across internal and external systems.
  • Liaise with prime brokers, custodians, administrators and counterparties on operational matters.
  • Support cash, position and security reconciliations.
  • Monitor operational risk and identify opportunities to strengthen controls and processes.
  • Partner with technology teams on automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, system implementations and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with investment professionals and act as a trusted operational partner to the front office.

Candidate Profile

  • 3–10+ years' experience within Hedge Fund, Alternative Asset Management, Investment Banking or Prime Brokerage Operations.
  • Strong understanding of transaction processing and trade lifecycle management.
  • Experience handling corporate actions across multiple markets and products.
  • Exposure to credit, fixed income, structured products, derivatives or other complex instruments is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with operational systems and data analysis tools preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage directly with senior stakeholders.
