Company Overview: Financial Services Business - a market-leading executing agent
Position Overview: Initially responsible for a major CTRM system migration project, playing a key role in the business analysis and system testing for the project. Liaising with key stakeholders, external vendors and ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and meet all compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select new and manage existing relationships with external software providers and vendors to ensure deliverables.
- Liaise with front office, operations, accounting and risk to find out what their business needs are when undertaking a project.
- Ensure business specifications are written and signed off by the users.
- Ensure compliance with reporting with regards to regulation.
- Provide training on the various DMA platforms and exchange platforms on setting up and managing accounts so that these processes can be managed in your absence.
- Respond to requests from Exchanges when they ask for information on external users using the exchanges APIs.
- Provide demos of trading systems when requested and or required.
- Coordinate testing with various users to ensure the accuracy of deliverables.
- Where internal systems interact with external systems ensure business specifications are written to ensure any data feeds are accurate and real time.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong understanding of financial markets, including commodities, and a full working knowledge of trade life cycles.
- Experience of analysing complex issues and solving problems to resolution in a busy environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to write specifications from requirements issued by the business or users.
- Knowledge of UNIX, VBA, Microsoft Project and or SQL an advantage.
- Have an appreciation of regulations and exchange rules.
