We are working with a leading global financial services firm to hire a Junior Operations Associate to join their growing Operations team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain exposure across trade support, reconciliations, and prime brokerage-related operations within a fast-paced institutional environment.
The successful candidate will support key operational processes across the trade lifecycle, ensuring accurate processing, timely settlement, and strong operational control. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with front office, finance, counterparties, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities- Support daily trade operations including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement
- Perform cash, position, and trade reconciliations, investigating and resolving breaks
- Assist with exception management and operational risk controls
- Liaise with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve trade and settlement queries
- Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation across workflows
- 1–3 years’ experience within Operations, Trade Support, or Reconciliations
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and back/middle-office functions
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Exposure to Prime Brokerage or Prime Services operations
- Experience working within an institutional financial services environment
- Familiarity with trade processing or reconciliation systems
