The Role – FX BDM / Sales Executive
This is a front-office, sales-focused role supporting a Head of Desk and Senior FX Desk Associate (Number 2). You will play a key role in driving new business activity, generating opportunities, and building the pipeline that underpins the desk’s growth. This is ideal for someone highly commercial, confident on the phone and in person, and motivated by a high-performance, revenue-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound activity (calls, emails, networking)
- Book and qualify meetings for the Head of Desk and Senior Associate
- Build and manage a pipeline of corporate and institutional prospects
- Engage confidently with clients both over the phone and face-to-face
- Support senior team members in converting opportunities into revenue
- Develop a strong understanding of FX products (spot & forwards)
- Maintain high levels of activity and consistently hit outreach targets
- Contribute to the overall growth and success of the desk
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role (FX experience beneficial but not essential)
- Highly commercial mindset with a strong desire to succeed in a revenue-driven environment
- Comfortable with cold calling and proactive outreach
- Confident communicator – both on the phone and in person
