We're looking for a Platform Engineer to join a growing technology organisation whose products support public safety, compliance, and regulatory services. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful technology that has real-world impact, while helping engineering teams deliver software faster, more reliably, and at scale.
In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain an internal developer platform and cloud infrastructure that enables teams to ship high-quality software with confidence.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and evolving self-service tooling, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud environments (Azure)
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code and GitOps workflows using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Creating "golden paths" and paved roads to reduce cognitive load for developers
- Ensuring platform security, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborating with SRE, security, and application teams to define standards and best practices
- Automating repetitive tasks and reducing operational toil through tooling and runbooks
- Driving adoption of modern engineering practices, including observability, progressive delivery, and resilience testing

Experience & Skills
- 3+ years' experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles
- Proven experience building and scaling production-grade systems
- Strong Kubernetes experience, Azure, CI/CD, Python or Go
- Background working in agile engineering teams with rapid delivery cycles
- Exposure to large-scale environments supporting multiple teams or 100+ developers
- Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, with a focus on performance and cost optimisation
