22.5 hours per week

£30,521 – £31,143 pro rata / £16.72 – £17.07 per hour (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)
An opportunity has arisen for a Visitor Services Officer (VSO), based at Orkney Museum. The post is 22.5 hours per week, all year round.
The role of Visitor Services Officer includes supervision of Visitor Services Assistants, building care, ensuring the security and safety of collections and dealing with visitors to the museum. A key priority is increasing income by growing donations and developing the museum’s retail business.
Experience of working in a busy public environment would be an advantage.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
This post requires Basic Disclosure Scotland Clearance.
